Sean Becker, NAPF Intern at the UN
In early March, states convened the Fourth Substantive Session on Open-Ended Working Group on Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) to discuss critical issues on security and use of (ICTs). These meetings are part of an agenda set out in 2021 and aimed at putting security and ICT issues at the forefront of international discussions and agreements.
We are very proud that one of our current interns, Sean Becker from Drew University, delivered a statement for this session on behalf of NAPF. Sean’s statement focused on the need for states to involve youth activists and young professionals on establishing responsible ICT practices. His statement can be viewed here.
