On August 7, NAPF presented the Nuclear Abolitionist Extraordinaire Award to Rick Carter at a gathering in the David Krieger House, the home of the Foundation in Santa Barbara. The presentation was attended by NAPF board members, staff, interns, and friends. The Nuclear Abolitionist Extraordinaire Award recognizes Rick’s incredible dedication, artistry, and commitment to our mission with over thirty years of photographing NAPF’s Santa Barbara events as a volunteer. His contributions have been invaluable, capturing the spirit and moments of our efforts toward a future free of nuclear weapons. We are deeply grateful to Rick for his unwavering support and devotion to our cause. In her speech about Rick, Ivana Hughes shared just how fortunate NAPF has been to have Rick as part of our community and extended her warmest appreciation to him on behalf of the staff and the Board. Congratulations, Rick, and thank you for helping us wage peace! We are so grateful!
