Keynote Speaker

Toshiharu Kano is perhaps the youngest hibakusha from Hiroshima. His mother was pregnant with him when the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima less than a half-mile from their home.

Shakuhachi

Bob Sedivy will play music on the shakuhachi, an ancient Japanese bamboo flute.

Sojourner Kincaid Rolle, Poet Laureate of Santa Barbara from 2015-17, will read a poem.
